What is the course “Certified SDG 17 Global Networker”?

In just 4 weeks, the Global Networker course teaches you how to build impact networks and cross-sectoral collaborations in accordance with UN-Sustainable Development Goal #17: Partnerships for the goals.

What kind of certificate does this course issue?

If you finish the course successfully, you will receive the SDG17 Global Networker Certificate.
This certification entitles and encourages you to spread the SDG17 expertise, to trigger cross-sectoral collaboration, and teach others how to build sustainable networks.

How much time will it take?

4 weeks, 45 mins/weekday.

Do I have to pay for the Global Networker Course?

Pricing depends on whether you are an impact startup, a large corporation or you have received a scholarship.

Who is eligible?

Impact startups, organizations working towards 1 or more of the SDG17, or larger corporations seeking sustainable transformation.

What will I learn during the Global Networker course?

Week 1: Building 1:1 relationships
Week 2: Triggering group interaction
Week 3: Scaling to large-scale networks
Week 4: Creating a practical project for 1 or more SDGs

Who teaches the Global Networker course?

Networking expert, author and founder of Foundation AusserGewöhnlich Berlin, Alexander S. Wolf, who has trained major corporations like Porsche, Deutsche Bahn, Bosch, Fraunhofer Institut, leads the course.

Where does the Global Networker course take place?

The course takes place online via live Zoom calls every Monday 11am-12pm (Berlin time), for 4 weeks.

What is the course format?

The course is a combination of live calls, app-based audio learning and daily assignments.
Time invested: 1h weekly live call, 30-45 mins a day of self-study and collaboration activities.

Do I have to attend live?

Yes. We strongly encourage students to attend the live calls on Monday as part of receiving the SDG17 certificate.

What do I get out of it?

Students learn how to build resilient relationships worldwide and receive an SDG17 certificate to also spread these learnings in whatever organization or context they choose to work in.

What languages are available?

The course is taught in English. A German-speaking version is in the works.

What does the course have to do with the SDGs?

The curriculum is guided and informed by the UN’s Agenda 2030, specifically SDG17: Partnerships for the Goals.

Who is 17ACADEMY?

17ACADEMY is the educational platform by Foundation AusserGewöhnlich Berlin. 17 stands for Sustainable Development Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals. 17ACADEMY was founded to help organizations build sustainable networks and cross-sectoral collaboration in order to achieve 1 or more of the SDG17.

Who is Foundation AusserGewöhnlich Berlin?

Foundation AusserGewöhnlich Berlin was created 2009 as a civil society club – with the aim of translating decades of networking expertise and events into a meta goal: Collaborate to Save the World. Today, the club is one of the most influential non-profit networks of Germany’s capital.

We have dedicated our work to the Sustainable Development Goals of the UN Agenda 2030, specifically, SDG17: Partnerships for the Goals.
We believe these partnerships and sustainable networks are critical in achieving the Agenda 2030.
